New Life Fellowship
Discovering New Life in Christ

About Us ...

  • Our History and Heart

New Life Fellowship is a casual, contemporary, Christian Church that places a high value on relationships, and helping people to connect with God.

The church started in 2002 as a bible study in the home of New Life’s founding pastor, Mike Taylor and his wife Mary.  The bible study soon outgrew the Taylor’s home and began to meet at Grant Watts Elementary School as a church in November of 2003.

Our passion is to help people connect, or reconnect with God.  We are on a journey together of discovering the greatest gift in life, communion and fellowship with God.

  • Our Vision and Mission

New Life Fellowship exists to reach out and minister to those in Scappoose who do not know Jesus Christ by;

Introducing them to Christ, Involving them in meaningful relationships, Instilling within them the value of following Christ's leadership, Inviting them to find their place of ministry, and Inspiring them to worship God.

Vision is about who we are becoming. We are not there yet, but we are excited about the journey of getting there. How we get there is our Mission, which is:

Knowing Christ, Growing in Christ, and Showing Christ to Scappoose.

We believe as we do these things we will become the church that God would have us to be.

  • Our Values

Relationships - We permeate everything we do with the value of building community. Relationships are a part of how we started New Life, how we minister to the community, how we learn and grow together and how we worship together.

Relevance - Part of the mission of the church is to be relevant. To take the timeless truths of the Bible and put them into a context that people can understand. We are sensitive to those whom we are trying to reach and making sure that the message that we are proclaiming is being understood by them.

Being Real - We try to be real and upfront with people about our purpose and the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Respect - Every person needs room to process the truth of God and what that means for their lives. We value respecting each person and giving them the space to ask hard questions, and let them grow and worship at their own level of comfort.
